Life Coaching: Because Adulting isn’t easy.

01/30/2024 A Comedy of Self-Discovery

What is life coaching? Let me tell you, it's like stumbling into a carnival funhouse when you're already lost in the maze of life. Picture this: I was a frazzled single mom of two boys, juggling more balls than a circus clown on caffeine, and I thought, "How on earth can I enjoy this chaotic ride?"

So, in my desperate quest for sanity, I started asking myself the big questions: how? what? why? when? I mean, if I could navigate the Lego minefield in my living room, surely I could navigate my own mind, right? Right?!

Then, like a beacon of hope in the storm of my existence, I spotted it: an ad in the local newspaper for Life Coach Training. I mean, what could possibly go wrong, right? So, I marched my sleep-deprived self over to the nearest accredited Coaching Program the next day and declared, "Yes! Sign me up! I need this for my own survival and maybe, just maybe, to save others from the brink of mommy meltdown!"

And guess what? Life coaching isn't some mystical mumbo-jumbo reserved for Zen masters on mountain tops. No sir, it's the stuff we're already doing, just with a fancy title. It's our rants, our raves, our midnight ramblings to the cat about the meaning of life.

Life coaching is basically the ultimate DIY project, where we transform our mess into a masterpiece. It's like using a blender to make a smoothie out of all the lemons life throws at us. And let me tell you, it's not always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it's more like dodging raindrops in a thunderstorm.

But amidst the chaos, there's a silver lining: life coaching teaches us to find the comedy in the tragedy, the laughter in the tears. It's like being handed a map to the amusement park of your own mind and realizing that the rollercoaster of life isn't so scary when you're the one holding the reins.

So, whether you're a rookie in the game of life or a seasoned pro with a few scars to show for it, remember this: life coaching doesn't care if you're rocking Gucci or Goodwill, if you're a mom, a dad, or a circus performer. It's about tapping into your inner superhero, embracing your quirks, and learning to love the beautiful mess that is you.

In the end, life coaching is like that best friend who hands you a tissue when you're crying and then makes you laugh until you snort. It's the gentle nudge when you're stuck in a rut and the high-five when you finally conquer that mountain of laundry.

So, my fellow adventurers in the wild ride of life, strap yourselves in, hold on tight, and remember: with a little laughter, a lot of love, and maybe a pinch of pixie dust, anything is possible.
